The Tamworth Steel Group is proud to announce it is now compliant with BS EN 1090 and can confirm that all our fabricated steelwork is produced to the required CE Marking standards, as required by law.

Mandatory auditing has been completed by SCCS, Steel Construction Certification Scheme, with approval of our Welding and Factory Production Control systems and we are able to manufacture and issue the CE mark for structural steel fabrications up to and including Execution Class 2.

The CE Mark, alongside our existing production capabilities, contributes to us achieving the quality and flexibility that delivers projects on time and to the required high standard. By complying with CE requirements, the Tamworth Steel Group can ensure that clients and contractors are given confidence throughout the supply chain of steel construction  -  from the manufacture of the steel sections to their fabrication by qualified welders.

A delighted MD, Jon Ratledge, said “It will undoubtedly enable us to develop the fabrication side of our business further and ensure our customers can have complete confidence in the products and fabrications that we supply to them. We have received an increasing number of requests for steel fabrications to meet the strict requirements of CE marking and I feel it is a great achievement for the stability and future growth of the company.”
